It’s time.
Last night began something new for us here at Sr. High. In a response to God’s clear and timely leading, we opened up a night of prayer for any students who desired to come out and join us in seeking God together. The goal? Break down barriers, step out of comfort zones, push beyond what has become safe and ordinary, and experience the awe-inspiring power of God’s presence as it was meant to be experienced. A community of people ready to wake up.
And so, Monday Night Awakening…
I wasn’t really sure why that name in particular until the night began. But then as we prayed and sang I was overwhelmingly struck with the imagery of the dry bones found in Ezekiel 37. Over the past little while I felt as though I’ve been watching God take these dried up bones and put them back together piece by piece, cover them with muscles and flesh, and then last night begin to finally breathe life back into them.
And I could feel that life as it filled us.
God broke down a bunch of individual wills and is now rebuilding his body; his church here at Sr. High. We are waking up, we are full of life, and I believe God is working here. Powerfully.
Looking forward to our next meeting.
Thanks,
